Ingredients
- 3 egg whites at room temperature
- 175 g of brown caster sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 140°C (conventional)
- Prepare a baking tray with a sheet of baking paper
- Put the egg whites in a clean bowl and beat them until stiff peaks form
- Now add the sugar one tablespoonful at a time, continually beating until the sugar is dissolved into the egg whites.
- The easiest way to make the meringues is to spread them out into circles with a spoon, each circle should have a thickness of about 1 cm.
- Place the meringues in the oven and leave them in there for about 1 and a half hours or until the meringues are firm to the touch and no longer sticky.
- Turn off the oven and let the meringues cool down with the oven door partially open.
