Ingredients
- 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 170g softened butter
- 150g firmly packed brown sugar
- 100g white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 300g all-purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 0.25 tsp Salt
- 3 cups regular Oats, uncooked
- 0.5 cup currants
- 0.5 cup raisins
Instructions
- Beat the butter at medium speed with an electric mixer. Gradually add sugars, beating well. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Combine flour and next 4 ingredients, gradually adding butter to the mixture. Mix it well and stir in the oats and currents.
- Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheets. Bake at 190°C for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly on the cookie sheets. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
