A tart made with Apples and Almonds, that serves six to eight people. It requires 20 minutes of preparation, and 45 minutes of cooking.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp ground Cinnamon
  • 5 slightly acidic Apples
  • 50g Almonds
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 150g Butter
  • 200g Flour
  • 3 Eggs
  • 250g Sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel the apples and cut them into slices. Sprinkle them with 50g of sugar and one tablespoon of Cinnamon. Roughly crush the almonds.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Beat the butter with 150g of sugar until the mixture whitens and becomes creamy. Now break the eggs one after the other, beating them with several spoonfuls of flour. Add the baking powder too. Put it into a buttered, ovenproof tin of 20cm in diameter.
  3. Now lay the apples slices on top. Scatter the almonds over the apple slices, sprinkling the dish with 50g of sugar and the tablespoon of cinnamon. Now cook the cake for 45 minutes.
